SwapUp
Swap Up is a fast, intuitive player-versus-dealer casino card game playable with either a single 52-card deck or a continuous six-deck shoe. Each player receives three cards, with the third card dealt face-up as the peek card. If the peek card is a 2, 3, or 4, the player may blindly swap it with one of the dealer's three face-down cards. Pick a card. Change your hand. Beat the dealer.
Approximately 23.8% of hands allow a swap - nearly one in four hands - creating a consistent moment of anticipation and table conversation.
2.54% Single Deck House Edge
2.73% Six Deck House Edge
23.8% Approx. Swap Opportunity Frequency
The mathematical analysis for Swap Up was completed by Dr. Joseph Shipman, former Director of Mathematics at
GLI. The game was structured to provide a competitive casino house edge while preserving a player-friendly
decision mechanic.
